Ford Warranties

*Warranty conditions and exclusions apply.

Your name and address may be obtained from the motor vehicle register. Ford New Zealand is authorised as a member of the MIA to access this under the conditions of gazette notice 2023-au3015. We have been authorised to obtain and use this for the following purposes:

i) To provide registered persons with service campaigns for software updates to vehicle’s safety assist and autonomous systems and for upgrades to engine management systems for improvement environmental performance.

ii) To verify registered person details for warranty purposes.

iii) To provide registered persons with details of any extensions or possible extensions to existing warranty periods. Any person can notify the Registrar that they do not wish to have their name and address made available under an authorisation by visiting the NZTA Waka Kotahi website here: https://transact.nzta.govt.nz/transactions/personalinfoaccess/entry

[1] 3 year/100,000 km Ford Express New Vehicles Warranty applies to new vehicles delivered prior to 1 July 2018. 3 year/100,000 km Ford Express New Vehicles Warranty applies to demonstrator, dealership and service loaner vehicles first registered by the Authorised Ford Dealer prior to 1 July 2018.

[2] 5 year/unlimited km Ford Express New Vehicles Warranty applies to new vehicles (except the Ranger and Transit models) delivered from 1 July 2018. 5 year/unlimited km Ford Express New Vehicles Warranty applies to demonstrator, dealership and service loaner vehicles (except the Ranger and Transit models) first registered by an Authorised Ford Dealer from 1 July 2018.

[3] 5 year/150,000 km Ford Express New Vehicles Warranty applies to new Ranger MY2019 and Transit vehicles delivered from 1 July 2018. 5 year/150,000 km Ford Express New Vehicles Warranty applies to demonstrator, dealership and service loaner Ranger MY2019 and Transit vehicles first registered by the Authorised Ford Dealer from 1 July 2018.

[4] Warranty period commences on the date of delivery except where the vehicle is a dealership, demonstration or service loaner vehicle, in which case it commences on the date on which it was first registered by an Authorised Ford Dealer.
